I design and develop web sites and web-based marketing solutions for entrepreneurial businesses in the Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN area. I’m an energetic problem-solver and experienced web developer and love learning new technologies and using them to creatively solve problems and reach people.
How I got here ...
My degree is in computer science and have always been a curious person who likes to know how things work. I spent 15+ years working with talented people at two Twin Cities computer companies before leaving corporate life to raise my triplets. During that time, I gained experience with customer support, training, network design & configuration, project management, technical writing and software development. I’ve always been customer-focused and my gift was being able to bridge sales and IT departments to solve complex problems creating a high level of customer satisfaction.
I started The Tailored Page in 2001 to do some creative computer work while maintaining a flexible schedule to take care of my kids and give back to the community. Did I mention that having triplet has a way of changing your life? Being a parent of triplets has definitely taught me to multi-task and learn-on-the-fly. It has been one of the most challenging jobs I've had, but I'm very proud of the results - three pretty great teenagers! I have also had opportunity to give back to community and I'm blessed to work with another great group of teenagers through AVID @ AVHS.
Much of my web design and development skills are self-taught. I love learning new things and the web is a great place for that since it is constantly changing. Web design is a great way to mesh my programming skills with design and creativity. I've found my niche with The Tailored Page, helping small business owners understand and use web technologies to support their marketing goals.
